Each year, it’s tempting to set a goal; to set a resolution.
This year, you might “resolve” to be more fit, to eat out less and cook more at home. You might choose to save money or pay off debt. You may want to quit a bad habit (I Always want to quit biting my nails!) or start a new hobby!
Do you have a goal? Sometimes, we’re afraid to share our goal or our resolution, for fear it won’t come true. Saying it out loud gives it stock. You might think, “If I give it a name, but don’t follow through, then I’ve failed.”
My friend, that’s just not true! I prefer to take the advice of a sign that hung in my 4th grade classroom. It said, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
Say your resolution out loud. Go ahead and give it stock. Try for something. Go after what you want! Shoot for that moon. Even if you don’t reach exactly what you were trying to grasp, you will have done Something!
My goal for 2018 is to Do Something. My interests are all over the place!
I remember being in 9th grade. Sometime during the first 2 weeks of school, an administrator paid a visit to our class and asked us that age old question: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? It’s simple; but it’s not! I had so many dreams then and I still have so many dreams now. I never could figure out a way to limit my future to One career path or one vision for “5 years from now.” Oh this used to give me So much anxiety!
But you know what I finally found out? It’s ok to not want to do Just one thing. It’s incredible to know what you wanna do for your whole life, but if you don’t know, That’s OK too!
In 2018, I resolve to let you know me better.
I’m a mom to 2 incredible kids. I’m a wife to a guy that I love. I am a serious crafter: if a day goes by and I didn’t create something, my heart hurts a little bit. I am a singer. From the age of 3, singing and acting has been my most undeniable passion. Before LuLaRoe, I didn’t consider myself particularly fashionable. I had “fashion potential” but I needed the push and the inventory to send me flying!
This year, I’m gonna grow! I’m gonna teach my little ones and keep to a responsible schedule! I’ll make amazing things- and I’d love to teach you how to, too! I’ll sing. Every chance I get, I’ll step up and sing loud. Finally, I’ll grow my business. I’ll expand my reach and help even more women feel beautiful! I’ll connect with so many of you and show you how much I love and appreciate you!
2018 is going to be amazing. Stick with me and you’ll see!
